Default How to remove pins from a flywheel?

Went to resurface my flywheel today and can't remove the 3 pins that line up the pressure plate... thought I'd ask before I messed something up.

Any info will help...

Whenever I take a flywheel to get resurfaced, I just leave them in there. They usually take them out and put them back in (if they can, only happened that they couldn't 1 time) for me.

I left mine in last time, and they wanted to charge me $5 a pin...crazy (but I got it for free)
If you have a press you can remove them

my machine shop charges 7$ to remove and install after resurfacing. there is a slide hammer adapter that is used to remove the pins, if you arent turning flywheels constantly, it isnt worth buying.

I'm doing mine myslef here at school... it fits on the brake lathe perfectly so I figured I'd give it a try.

brake lathe..
MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PUT A DIRECTIONAL FINISH ON IT.
or it will chatter its *** off. thats why they are turned on a table with a stone, but thats my o.o2 if you have the slide hammer adapter that screws inside a pair of vicegrips, that may work, but there is such a thing as a pin puller. please take care in turning the flywheel if you must use a brake lathe.

You better make sure you get it balanced afterwards, unless you really don't care about the engine your putting it on.

I've done it before and havn't had a problem... but this time I can't seem to get the pins loose. Those things are in there soooo tight I though maybe I just got lucky all the other times.
