How to remove headunit... searched.
i have an aftermarket clarion drx6575z headunit. its in a 96 hatchback. how do i take it out. i read u have to remove panels and ****. when my uncle installed it, he didnt remove any of the panels. can someone explain please

Did it come with those little elbow key things? Cause if it did, you use those. Otherwise you have to take the panels off, UNLESS you can reach the back of it from behind and push it out.

ohh, ic.. hasback_00 just said i can use 2 flat heads. is this possible? if how?
or what do the key things look like? maybe i can bend a wire to look like it
can u use any headunits key? or does it have to be your specific headunit?

When they install the frame for the deck they pull out tabs on the side. When you slide the deck in the tabs keep it from being pulled out. All the keys do is push the tabs out of the way, grab the deck, and start to pull it out. If you can slide something in there to push the tabs back you should have no problem pulling it out.
