how to remove the gauge cluster in an EG
I just bought an LX guage cluster for my DX EG. I removed the 2 screws on top but can't seem to pry the dash out. Are there any other screws that I need to remove or is it a snap in?

Re: how to remove the gauge cluster in an EG (karmannghia)
There's one more screw behind the 'Hazzard' button. You can remove the button by prying it with a butter knife or screwdriver.
The next step in removing the dash requires patience. Don't think the dash can be ripped out, coz it can't.
What you have to do is get three butter knives or something long, flat, and strong, and jam it in the underside of the dash in three places. These three places are the clips which hold the dash in place, and what you want to do is place the butter knives under these clips. You will find two of these clips on the right, and one of the left. Just stick the butter knives in, and feel around, and you should find them.
Take it easy too, coz it ain't easy fixing those knives in place. Once they are in place, gently pull the dash out towards you. If all is right, it should just pop out. If you find that you are struggling, then maybe the knives are not completely under those clips
Goodluck.
