How to remove ebrake cable from RTA/drum brake ?.
trailing arm got damaged so I need to swap it out, not going to bother with the disc swap. So my question is how do you remove the ebrake cable ? it seems to have a double locking nut and can't seem to find what size it is.

this is like a 12mm or bigger I'm unfamiliar with drums i'll try n get a pic, maybe it's something else it goes threw the trialling arm it's self and is covered in a big " rubber loom" if you could call it that.

I thought you were talking about the rod that holds the parking brake cable to the actuator arm within the drum. Is the bolt you're talking about on one of these diagrams?
The "rubber loom" that goes through the trailing arm is just a grommet. Once you have the cable disconnected from the actuator in the rear drum, you just need to undo the bolts holding it to the trailing arm and body, then shove it through. Disconnect from the parking brake handle, and do the same with the grommets holding it in the tunnel.

You shouldn't need to remove that bolt. Just grab the grommet with some pliers and pull it through, or shove it through from the other side. With that much rust and **** down there, you might want to pry at it a little with a straight blade screw driver.

I'd like to keep my e-brake cables I replaced them 4 years ago with OEM Honda one's then forgot to get the car undercoated: thus rust. or does it look like I'm going to need a new e-brake cable too ?
thx for the help so far.
