How to remove crank pulley from b16?
Im trying to drop in my motor tonight. I was going to put on the side mount on the timing cover when i realized i couldnt get the lower timing cover off without pulling the crank pulley off. The only guy i know with the special tool from honda wont be able to let me use it until wednesday.
Now ive already tried impact wrench but it was a no go, the whole motor is virgin, nothing has ever been touched by a wrench so that thing is stuck on there pretty good. any suggestions? tips? anything to get this thing off so i dont have to wait so long.

you have to stop the pulley form spinning so take a block of wood and brace it against the pulley, then loosen the bolt....good luck

Unless you have one hell of an impact gun, you're not going to break it loose. It would be fantastic if you could just go buy the proper tools and save yourself thirteen hours of struggle and snapped breaker bars.

yeah that could be a big of it... if the gun's old and beat up its gonna be a puss on power. and on my old vw it took i believe 120, 130 psi to get it off.
