Default How To Really Preformance tune ur D15B2 Engine

Hi Guys I'm new on this forum.. i'm from the Netherlands right..
i own an 92 honda civic hatch.. it was normaly an esi ( d16z6 engine ) but it broke down in germany so i got my new engine ready now.. an d15b7 with an greddy t3/t4 turbokit.. its working good at 0.4 boost.. but i really want to get the most out of my engine.. the most bhp i could get.. some mods i got ready for the engine..
lightweight flywheel, fuel rail and some other stuff.. if you could help me with this one .. i really would be thankfull..
btw this is my civic ( its being rebuild now totaly different )
(pic was taken in germany @ Toyo tuning day )

Thanks..

Upgrade the pistons and rods, slap in some ARP head studs and turn that boost up. Tune it with Hondata and rock out with your **** out, my European Brother .

Yep, pistons, rods, headstuds, new HG, maybe a cam, chip your p28 and tune.

Soccerking3000 is another D guru.

I really like your car. Great job

WTF kind of paint job is that? It's trippy looking.

For boost I would reccomend chipping your ECU, getting a moates burner, and a wideband O2 sensor so you can tune the car yourself (I don't know what kind of honda tuning you can get there.)

ARP headstuds are important to prevent your head from floating. Lower compression pistons and forged rods will help you push more boost.

Injectors are also important. The stock injectors can only go so far. I'm using 310cc injectors for 7-8lbs of boost (I believe 240cc is stock).

if you want the most power out your d, i would do a full bottom end rebuild, get it sleeved and bored to 78mm, and get a set of nice rods and pistons. Also i didnt see if you had a cam or not but i would pick up a zex 59300 cam, its awesome, and i havent had any problems with it. Of coruse you will need to upgrade your clutch and fuel system. I would suggest an ACT XTSS clutch/pressure plate deal. As for fuel get 880cc injectors and an intank fuel pump (aka walbro 255lph) and that should be great to around 450whp, even that much hp is worthless on the street but you said you want as much hp/torque out of the engine. Also i'm not sure on what turbo you have exactly but i doubt it will staisfy the power goals you want w/o some lag. I would advise getting a gt30r or gt2871 turbo, great power and dual ball bearing cartridge so awesome spool time. If you have any other question just hit me up via pm or something

all the things stated before are good choices as well (aka hg, main studs, head studs)

ohh and do jump on the jdm bandwagon, you car doesnt look bad keep it the way it is for doing your thing

thanks alot m8... but about the looks of my car.. well its just gona be build up for sprints and i like to end up at 250 bhp ( m8 of mine has same with 320 hp so its defo posible ) ...
the thing is money.. because i didnt like the carbon with the flipflop.. i sold the carbon fiber parts.. but now i have to respray my car ... but the price of this color is 800 euro's a liter.. so.. its gona be sprayed black next week.. gold rims... black clear headlights.. jdm taillights.. same bodykit but then with front mounted intercooler in the bumper.. xenon lights on there aswell btw.. bomex wing. ehm.. and well no exhaust at the back anymore... but an sidepipe.. will be cool.. "i'm still not sure if it gets vertical doors but it meight "

if you are looking for around 250bhp, i would just get, some eagle rods and cp pistons, with arp headstuds and an OEM headgasket, pick up some RC 440cc injectors. Also if you rebuild it use OEM main and rod bearings, i prefer them over acl. All of this can be had for around 1000 bucks, and if you are on a real tight budget, pick up some tunertoys rods they are 235 shipped from stealthmode and are supposedly equal to eagle rods

and litterbox is a k series *****
