What does KBB say? Especially since you leave out crucial details like chassis mileage and why the drivetrain is a hybrid. And why it's sporting a DX transmission.
No engine shots? Not a good sign.

Also you can't QFT yourself.

I wouldn't pay much with the fitment of the front end looking REALLY shoddy and the fogged up Ebay headlights being an indication of the condition of the car and how it was cared for.

If it's an EX then the D16Y8 is not a mod, it's the stock motor. The Y7 trans you have in there also depreciates the value a bit because they're more common and not as sought after (probably because they're slower).

- What type of lip?
- In the side pic it looks like it's lowered, what kind of drop, what parts?

Also, the largest part of selling a car (any car) is the mileage and how it runs...

For the sake of argument I'll say it runs like a top - what's the mileage (not the mileage on the cluster, but the mileage you're going to claim when you post it for sale)?

If all is well, no leaks, runs well, etc., I'd guesstimate probably low-mid 3's, like 3300-3500 or so, but I haven't looked at nor sold a civic in awhile.

KBB always goes high (way high). As for the chassis mileage, while it IS a crucial detail, on civics it's damn near meaningless because most people swap clusters at some point or another and don't change the odometer.

Probably sporting a Y7 trans because the OEM trans crapped out and Y8 trans are slightly harder to find and more expensive..you see that a lot.

Agreed, all that stuff is pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Like I wouldn't consider selling my car ('97 EX Coupe) for more because it has a header (about to have a new header, and possibly exhaust), intake w/ K&N filter, 99/00 tails, and a B&M dual bend short throw shifter.

While it's all name brand stuff, it just doesn't add anything to the selling points of the car, especially if you're selling to a non-honda enthusiast person. If you're selling in a H forum they might look at it a big differently, but still, not much value.

It's been my experience KBB always was a tad on the low side (but I haven't checked it in years). Mileage may not be a factor to some but if you're selling a car you better at least supply the figures because knuckleheads like me are going to ask you for it. I would also asks for receipts and maintenance records so that would be handy to have on hand if they exist.

well it has about 130000 miles. The resson i changed the trans it had that 3rd gear grind. The motor scince i had it has not been past 6 grand rpms. but its a good car has not let me down (knock on wood) i just want a est of how much whould any one pay for this car.

no where near 3k the front end is not even lined up stock motor and to be honest there really nothing special... clean car as far as paint and interor(well in the pic it looks good)but since it is ek with si interior i would say 2k maybe 2500

To compare i just bought a 1998 DX Coupe with 112k for $2,000.00 even. However mine is all stock but i find it more valuable that way. I wouldn't give you much more than that for what you are working with.

Looks like a great donor car, I would say you can get at most 2300 for it. Just like everyone else is saying, there is nothing special about the car. Plus the front end doesn`t line up. Maybe you get lucky and someone who has no idea about cars may give you 2700 for it.
