How much value this car has??????????
93 civic ex coupe
JDM h22a
clean title never been wrecked, straight body no dents or nothing, its red exterior, and black interior really clean, rear brake conversion, slotted braks in the front with arp studs, full dropzone suspention
needs:
driver's tie rod and repaint rear bumper
I thinking to trade with my integra with jdm b18b.

Re: How much value this car has?????????? (sayst)
I'm not sure if it's just the lighting or he's done one too many burn outs with that car. If so it could be a sign that either he doesn't take care of it or he beats on it. The picture's too far away to really tell anything besides "it's an engine." I even will go as far as to say most of the people that know what an H22 looks like can look at that picture and not know if it's an H22 for sure or not.
I wouldn't pay anymore then X due to Y miles. X is dependent on the miles. How many miles does the body have on it? How many miles does the swap have on it?
It's also an AZ car, which means little body wear due to no winters (or light winter conditions if you will), am I right? Or is it an ebay trade or something? This guy the first owner? Where was the car purchased? If it was purchased in Montana or someplace up north you might want to take that into consideration as to how good the body's integrity is (just because it "looks" okay doesn't usually mean ****).
Need a lot more info to throw a price at that car, I'm talking exacts, options, things that are broken, DX? EX? Miles on body? Miles on engine? Miles on that engine IN that body? How old the owner is? Is he the original owner? How many people have owned the car? So on and so forth. Give us as much information as possible if you want a value price on it, though the mileage is almost mandatory.
If you take the assumption of 10k miles/yr and it's 14 years old that's approximately 140k miles on it. So if you say it has 140k miles on the body (not bad for a civic), how many miles on the swap? What year is the swap?
Under say a '94(approx) JDM H22A that's hooked up properly in a civic coupe body that needs what you mentioned, has what you mentioned, and has 140k miles on it owned by a rather responsable person (not some 16 year old kid who dragged his friend's vette daily) I would say it's not worth more than say...Hrm..6-7k? (That's a high valued response too, give me more info and I can give you more accurate feedback).
Good luck if you do buy it...and same too if you don't, I suppose.

Okay, Okay, I was simply trying to point out how rediculously far the car is from the camera for an engine shot, alright?

Re: How much value this car has?????????? (lemon_juice)
I am not sure that car had h22 at that time (in the pic). But, I saw the engine and drove it. According to the owner, Body has 104k and swap was rebuilt 15~20k miles ago.
found another pic

How do you know both of those things? Looks exactly like my car ('95 EX)..but then so does the DX coupe. How do you know it's repainted, as far as I know that's a Honda OEM color.

Okay, I definately, definately, should not have said what I said .
As for OP and price: I'd say no more than 6.5-7k.

Moonroof = EX on a coupe.
The repaint...I can go either way...the hood still has the factory decals underneath, but some shops replace those.

To tell you the truth I rather keep the Integra with the LS motor in, :-P That's just me though.

Ahh good point about the moonroof. I didn't know about the decals. Only an EX has a warning sticker under the hood?

EX has painted mirrors and the recess around the license plate is painted also.
I'd keep the teg and go LS/VTEC or FI.
More often than not, taking on other peoples' projects becomes a real PITA.
Edit: I wouldn't give him more than 3500-4000.

****, my EX doesn't have any mirrors on the back O.o. Agreed though, other peoples' projects can turn out not so good...unless you plan on tearing the whole thing down.
I agree, I happen to think a fully built LS-T is bad-***, some others may disagree but whatever, to each his own.

Yes. I'll trade my integra. I am tired of getting through the emission test. I don't think my car's value is more than $4k anyway.

Re: How much value this car has?????????? (Syndacate)
you can tell it is repainted by the front bumper...the inside fins are red, which should be black. i think he said the rear bumper needs paint...put that into consideration because you know atleast both bumpers have been removed. the car is definetly not a virgin! if the hood had so much attention as to replace stickers underneath, you would think the bumpers would be treated the same.

Re: How much value this car has?????????? (sayst)
I wouldn't trade/buy that car. For the simple fact that H22's only run as good as the mechanics that put them it (this is true for all cars). The thing is that H22's seem to pose more of a problem installing than B16's. So with that said, when it comes to a car with a swap, I'll always say no to it. Because you just don't know what you're in for.
