The muffler shop I went to said direct honda mufflers cost 245 bucks, so i just got him to put a turbo pak on he had lying around 45 including labor. Which was cheap and a easy fix.

Midas is sort of a rip off. They will try to sell you a OEM replacement. If you want just a muffler, and not interested in performance, they can just weld on a new muffler. Total cost would be way less. I say $50 - $75 done for a good one. Check with other independent muffler shops.

Well I was just using Midas as an example, but a muffler shop in general where they just weld a new one you are all saying $50-75? Not too bad.

Telling you dude. You need to check and see if your muffler bearings are greased properly. Over time they can become noisy!!

LOL. I don't think that is it. It is becoming very loud now. Almost as if I had a ricer fart tip. I also am smelling an exhaust leak. I am gonna jack it up this week and see if I have a hole or something.

Most one size fits nothing mufflers actually hurt performance- get a honda muffler or get a decent exhaust system. My 2 cents.
