Considering that it is the same valve found on all '96-00 hatchbacks (and a couple of other '96-00 models as well), you may be able to find it cheaper from a local junkyard.

Most used prop valves seem to go for $30-40 shipped.

No, you're wrong. Try again.

Check the part numbers. 46210-S04-902 is the part number of the USDM (non-ABS) EM1 proportioning valve. The same part number is found on all '96-00 3dr CX, 2dr and 3dr DX, and 2dr HX trims.

i checked before i posted and what i got was different

why would a Si( rear disc) prop valve be the same as a non rear disc car?

edit: just looked it up again and looks like the EX shows a different part number but dx 3dr was the same.. also 4 door lx shows a diffferent part number

i would of thought that the SI is a 40/40 being it had rear disc

The 4040 (it's not marked "40/40"; this isn't an eye chart) is not used on all non-ABS cars with 7CLP13S rear calipers - only some.

Rear drums vs. discs are only half the story. There are 4 brakes on a car, not 2. The proportioning valve depends on both the fronts and the rears, not just the rears alone. The Si shares front brakes with the EX and not the CX/DX/HX/LX, so the proportioning needs with that particular front/rear combination - while not being the same as on DX 4dr, LX, or EX non-ABS - may be the same as the proportioning needs of the front/rear combo on the CX, DX 2dr/3dr, and HX. Hence the reason Honda equipped it the way they did.

OE brake proportioning valves (particularly the significance of the number codes) are still somewhat of a mystery to those of us doing the brake research. The best advice that I can give to anybody doing brake swaps is to use the proportioning valve from a car that has the closest possible OE brake setup to their new combo.

I'd say 30-40 is fine.

Considering it's 90 dollars from honda.

Wouldn't pay more than 40 though.

It's actually $111 retail.

Prices from online wholesalers don't always reflect reality - especially before you've factored in the shipping.
