if your pouring it in thru the Cv axle then just pour it tell it comes out a little bit

then its two and a half bottles if its empty cause i filled mine once after changing my clutch and i didnt even use the whole bottle so o and honda Mtf works the best

Youre the first person Ive heard of filling it that way. I use the VSS and add ~3qts. I always thought it was around that much.

Really i have this cool funnel with a flex hose and it makes it easy well when the car is apart i would try to do it with everything bolted up then the cv shaft is hard to move i just go to jiffy where my buddy works and fill it there if i need to

You're supposed to pull the fill plug and fill it up through the VSS hole - stop pouring when it comes out the fill hole.
Filling it up to the VSS is overfilling it - which is probably why you used 3 quarts.
