that question is to openn... wat exactly do u want.. u can replace ur rings and pistons and say its a rebuilt.. u can also do rods. sleeve it.. plus the machine shop work.. for a complete block rebuild including pistons, rings, rods, sleeves = somewhere in the ball park of 1200 and thats just parts not including labor. all of them machine work your looking at anywhere from 600-1200- and then it depends if ur gonna be puttin the motor together or if ur gettin someone to do it.. over all cost comes to around 4K or more including labor, other parts u might need for example: water pump, oil pump, timing belt, oils, coolent etc. a good tune.

are those prices wit all machine work?? i just spent roughly around 4K for pistons, rods, sleeves, machine work, arp bolts, water pump, oil pump, timing belt, all new gaskets, new bearings, radiator hoses, thermostat, oils for break in and afer break in, coolent and might be forgettin other lil stuff.. and that was wit slight head work(replace couple of valves) and all my labor is from a homie so if u took it to a shop with all that stuff its around 5K.

im getting a rebuild my type r aswell. for simple cost this is wat im doing

new oem jdm piston/ rings
headgasket
waterpump, timing belt
and watever gaskets it might be. being that it is only 60k miles. the cylinder most likely will not have to be bored maybe just honed or just drop in new pistons and rings either way. im doing this because im the third owner of this motor and it smokes when crossover to vtec.

my man charging me 300-400 for the labor.

just keep it all motor or get a b20 block and use your type r rods and buy some low comp pistons, and go turbo there.
