stage 1s are equivalent/very close to ITR cams . For the cost of the upgrade go with tuner stage 2's.
( buddy got stage ones with springs and retainers and tuned ) gained 6hp on a gsr ( previously tuned for intake , exhaust ,header ).
Thats ALOT of cash for 4-6 hp.
He then upgraded to S2 stage 2s and gained another 8 hp. ( so thats 14 hp over the stock gsr cams ) .

Re: how much hp would this give me?
get ITR internals....way cheaper
you gonna spend too much money on skunk2. if u get stage 1
with the money that u save u can get a itr intake mani and a throttle body.

Re: how much hp would this give me?
I got Supertech springs/retainers, Skunk2 stage 2 cams, S2 gears on a ported head on my GSR and got a good tune (including adjusting cam gears). I netted an extra 30+ whp over stock.

It was a mild port. Torque was about 10 ft lbs higher, but I gained 7-10 tq between 2,500K - 7K RPMs, so you can definitely feel the difference.

I dont know your goals for this setup, but for a little more money and arguably less work, you could put together a simple turbo setup and make ~300whp. With a budget of $2-2500, its totally possible on the bone stock block. I'm not sure what the emissions laws are like in your area so that may be something to check before investigating this option further. Just know there are other similarly-priced options which make a lot more power.
I hate to keep droning on about this, but my first turbo setup was far from perfect and it made 274whp/195wtq on 9psi. The whole setup cost me a grand total of $2400 after tuning. Its something to consider...

Re: how much hp would this give me?
I don't know as I bought the motor with the head already ported. The intake isn't port matched, btw...it's an S2 Pro using the stock GSR TB. The bottom has PR3 pistons, but I'm pretty sure they're stock size. So a little higher compression. I'm using a JDM 4-1 ITR header and I'm running through an OEM cat. When I dyno'd it with stock intake, exhaust manifold, and cams, it put down 142whp/102tq at 8000 RPM Now it puts down 175whp/118tq at 8200 RPM. I'm going with a hi-flow cat soon, so I hope to pick up a few more HP then. But again, the real gain was seeing those numbers come up across the entire powerband, not just the peak. So, usable horsepower went up substantially in the RPM range I routinely drive in (3000-5500).

Re: how much hp would this give me?
really hard to say,
possibly 10-15 horsepower
go with the stage 2 cams,
and get a good tune,
im sure with the right tune and everything you could push out 20ish

Re: how much hp would this give me?
those are basically the same as a stage 1 cam.
buy at least stage 2. not ITR or CTR. stage 2 skunk2,BC, buddy club, blox, toda. or you'll be throwin money away and i could sure use some new parts.

Re: how much hp would this give me?
100% agree... nobody builds their car and plans on it being unreliable... 2-3K turbo kit will not harm your motor unless you turn the boost up without a good tune. I would recommend doing this over swapping parts for a minimal gain. Like mentioned above you can make 300 HP on a stock GSR with a good tune, if the enigne is sound. I would make sure of that first before you throw any boost on it.
