How much gain?
How much HP do I gain if I get my:
1. DC headers
2. AEM CAI intake
3 2.25 piping
I'm thinking of doing everything this weekend. Is it worth it? By the way I have a slow *** 95 DX.

Re: How much gain? (eg_ko_2)
I would have to agree on 5-10 as well but leaning on the 7 at max..
But I think you should just do this..
D16Y8 (96-00 Civic EX) intake manifold and H22 throttle body, very affordable mod and parts are usually easy to find and cheap.
With that mod it would compliment the CAI intake very well, but dont spend all your money on an AEM --> A Generic brand cold air intake tube and a GREEN brand air filter will do just fine.
Headers, who needs them?? Dont wast money there..
2.25 inch exhaust pipin is alright.
Then to free up a little more power, advance the timing 2 degress and upgrade fuel to 91 Octane...
And you got yourself a really decent setup and some good overall gains.
Which is as well very affordable, I think and you will enjoy your DX motor a little more

Save ur money for a swap, or some suspension/brake/wheel upgrades.. the bolt ons wont do much for a DX. If you decide to go ahead with it anyway, get the AEM CAI V2 b/c they got some pretty sweet gains (14whp i think) from the DXs. Correct me if im wrong on that.

Re: How much gain? (Peagreenhatch)
700 hp
but to give you guys an idea... i got a 93 Civic EX Coupe (check my sig!) with the following performance mods:
1. AEM Cold Air Intake
2. DC Sports 4-2-1 Ceramic Headers
3. GReddy/Trust EVO Cat-back Exhaust
4. Random Tech. Super Hi-Flow Catalytic Converter
...and with these mods i can hang with my friends 90 Integra LS (5spd), which just has AEM Cold Air Intake. When we raced, we were neck and neck and neither one of use passed the other. so you figure it out if it's worth it > 125HP SOHC VTEC versus 130HP DOHC NON-VTEC.
and the thing is that my car has a crappy auto tranny, so if you have a 5spd, it'll be more beneficial.

Does an H22 throttle body work well with a Civic Ex?
