Man, after seeing Andy Bui's car and looking at all these other dope *** EK hatches, I want one! I have a 92 Si right now, but man the EKs are dope as hell too! How much do they go for now days? Or would I be better off buying a 96 and converting the front end to a 2000 front end?

If that's all you want is the look of the front end, then sure, the 96 with a 99 front end it fine.

Other notable things about 99-00's much nicer looking dash, Si parts swap directly in, gauges, climate control, etc.

How much does a 2000 hatch usually run? Second hand of course. If I'm looking at up into the 10 Gs I'll probably just wait and pick up a Si.

y would u pick up a Slow Si for when u can jus buy a 4000 5000 dollor 96-98 EK and swap a GSR in der...and already ur faster than the SI

and u could find a 99-00 Ek Hatch for atleast 8000....but hmmm u said u have 10,000 ummm u could jus buy a 4000 or 5000 dollor EK...swap a GSR in it(2200)...and wit the 4000 left u can make ur car run mid to low 13's like i do....OR better yet u can buy a EG Civic Cx model swap a Type R in it and run mid to high 13's...and have all that money left and get high 12's to low 13's(all motor).....SO man jus use ur money wisley basically im sayin dont buy the SI unless u have money 2 build it...i mean ive seen SI's get good times because the owner put alot more money in it...but ur sayin u have 10000 soooo u kno make the right decision

last summer my bro in law sold a 00 dx hatch with almost 50k miles for 8k. this is about what i'd pay for one. if you're looking for max speed then go for a 96-97 cx. you should be able to pick one up for around 4-5k.

Those prices sounds accurate. If I'm not mistaken, the 1996 model is the lightest of the 6th gen hatches. Like mentioned, you might wanna do the 99-00 front end conversion. Depends on your budget.. YUM, you got a great deal on your EK!!

Well while we are on the subject, I found a 96 DX hatch for like $3000. Altought it had about 160,000 miles and a busted hood and fender. I guess I came out even since i was going to convert the front end to a 99-00 Si anyway. Currently I own a EG in which by the way still love it to death. But I have always wanted a EK, so I guess I get the best of both worlds...
