I'm going to buy one local and I need to know how many people to get to go with me to pick it up. I'm buying a b17 so it should be the same weight as a b16 right? Also how much does the motor weigh itself?

you'll need at least two guys to lift it. three to four peeps is optimal. it all depends on how you do it, how high and so on as well.

motor tranny combo (b-series) is about 285-320lbs.
-tranny is about 90-100lbs or so
-motor 190-220lbs or so

Basically I have to get it into a pickup, out of the pickup, and into a shed type room. I guess I'll have to find an extra person. I thought both me and my dad could do it but the weight of the combo is more than us combined.
