my 94 cx hatch with dx engine is getting 42 per gallon mixed highway and city.

either your driving bad/ city or you need a tune up bad

have you done the recommended services? timing belt, plugs, wires, cap and rotor? all OEM?

i drive smooth,but there is some ,just little engine leaking,i use regular gas,would these two be a problem

your leaking oil?? regular gas is best for our not-so-high-compression engines

major tune up is needed... i get 50+ on my CX

theres your problem. car is being driven only city (short trips) and for a small amount of time. this kills mileage. but you still need a tune-up if you have not had one done.

i had/have a 99 civic coupe 5 speed non vtec and i was gettin 39 mpg, it was amazing and i can't wait to have it back

Go to fueleconomy.gov and look up your car. See especially reports from actual owners. Even for city driving, 24 mpg is low for this car. I would be troubleshooting per http://honda.lioness.googlepag...etips

95 DX Hatch 5 spd 200K on it.
In town week before last 37 mpg
Last week in town 34 mpg
That's easing around like my 84 year old mother, maybe slower, but it is a challenge to beat my best week every tank of gas.
My best is 38.4.
Road mpg is around 40-42 cause I run 80 then.

That's good to know. I'm putting finishing touches on 93 Hatch w/LS. I lack getting ac working, and I'll be driving it.

I was averaging 38-40 in mixed driving on an 00 EX with a d16y8, with a personal best of 44 on a tank, all highway.

Now, I average 27-30 in the same car with a B18C1 and b16 tranny, with a best of 33 on a tank.

There's no way 24 is good on any D series engine.

Something is really wrong then I get 10 miles city driving my fathers 32valve v8 northstar around, if your getting ten then you should not be crying, but finding out why.

I get about 395 miles on a full tank of gas, I drive mainly on the freeway. I have a stock 93 dx with 249,xxx miles on it and i have bad oil leak.......
