how much do i advance my timing??
how much can i advance my timing in my car to make more power???i have heard that it works, does it really???
i have a 95 dx with I/H/E. and also how easy is it to do?

Timing light and a screw driver.
You will make power on the top and and loose it on the bottom end. ANd fail smog.
A few degrees is all you want to do.

screwdriver huh??? You sure you don't mean 12mm wrench? There are 3 bolts to loosen around the distributor to adjust timing. Remember though, that advancing it too much will be worse for your car then having it stock. Like Spade said, no more than 3 degrees. And run higher octane, and back it off if you start pinging, which mostl likely you won't...but YA

actually retarding gives your more high end with a loss of low end. advance timing will give you more low end but less high end.
