How much do '00 Civic Si rims weigh?
(tried searching, and also googling to no avail)
I have a chance to score a clean set of these wheels but I'm not sure how heavy they are. I'm currently using Rota C8s (aprox 11-12lbs for 15")
Thanks

Haha..yeah, I found that same website (and many others) and pretty much ALL of them don't have the data for this rim.
Ok, so 16.5lbs - Thank you guys (especially Damon).
H-T rocks!!

Re: How much do '00 Civic Si rims weigh? (Damon)
I just needed a close approximation (+/- 0.5-1lb ok)
So I wonder if my 90 CRX Si will "complain" if I go from 12lb rotas to the Civic rims? Think it will affect my accel THAT much?

Yes.
My car trapped the 1/4 mile almost 1 mph faster, and did the 1/4 mile about .3-.4 seconds consistently faster from 185/60-14 tires on stock steelies to 195/50-15 GSR wheels.

I could be off...but I have heard that every 1 lb of unsprung, reciprocating mass is = to 20 lbs of spring weight. ie... 4 lbs less per rim is like removing 640 lbs from the body.

Darn physics!!
I guess this means I stick with my c8s and hold off on the si rims.
I think these (si) looks awesome on 2g CRXs....oem Honda but great aesthetics, too bad they are heavier.
Thanks for the info guys. MUCH appreciated.

I highly doubt that is correct. 640lbs!?!? Just think about that for a second. Perhaps the conversion is more like 10lbs per 1 of reciprocating.
