How much did you/would you pay for a midori hatch?
There is a 96 (duh) midori hatch I am looking at. It isn't in the greatest condition...but it runs and isn't mechanically messed up (as far as I know). It has a few exterior panels that would need replacing...but other than that seems fine. Girl will only take $3000 because she doesn't really want to sell it but she will if she can buy this $3000 car she wants...SO that would leave me paying $3000 for this 96 hatch which I feel should be going for somewhere between 2,000-2,600. I love midori's and always wanted one, so it is almost impossible for me to pass this up...But KBB.com says something ridiculous like 1,500 for the car...so I want to see what others have paid for theirs.
Cliffs: how much did you pay for your 96 midori hatch, I want to buy one for 3,000.

Re: How much did you/would you pay for a midori hatch?
This isn't really relevant because I'm asking what others have paid...not what I should pay for this particular one.
To find a clean 96-00 hatch for 2,000 is nearly impossible. I agree that you can find plenty of messed with, modified project hatches for 2,000 or 1,500...I'm trying to get her to do 2,500..but like I said the only way she will do it is if she can get the car that she wants for that price. Also, it isn't just "my favorite color" it is a rare color...not that that should have an effect on the price...but it does have an effect on how hard it is to find and how willing someone will be to buy it.
It seems as if no one who has responded thus far has bought a midori hatch. Is there anyone out there that has actually bought a midori hatch?
Thanks for the replies so far...although it hasn't really been what I wanted to hear

Modifications don't typically add value to a car unless it is an engine swap. In my opinion, modifications actually decrease the value because I know **** has been messed with.

yes i know what your saying but in this case it does have a single cam vtec swap with 115k and puting rims instead of hub caps and headlights on a car that are the same as stock but with a differnet color backround isn't really messing around with as much a swap would be wich would increase the price do to the lower millage and it still has power steering, a/c and all that

Re: How much did you/would you pay for a midori hatch?
I don't know....I guess I don't consider a d16y8 much of an upgrade from a d16y7...and I would just rather not deal with someone's swap..but of course that is me. I think what is helping sway my opinion is that I have tons of parts waiting to go on this car. Including an engine swap....So all I really care about is that color...I just don't want to overpay...obviously.
