How much could I get for my civic?
Ok, I want to get some opinion on how much I could get for my car. I know its semi, well reallymessed up.
New things..
Brand new windshield
Timing belt
All brakes have been done.
front bumper
I spun off the road last winter and side swiped a mailbox. Caved in the passenger quarter and scraped and whatnot.
Ive been quoted 2500 dollars to do get the whole car done and resprayed.
Parts. " anything not stock I did to the car"
Clifford alarm system with 2 way.
Si seats
Aem cold air intake
ex cluster
momo tuner wheel + nrg qr hub
skunk2 short shifter and ****
"type r" shift boot
ebay fogs
pioneer speakers all around
bazooka subwoofer
idk what king but some lip
pioneer headunit
motegi tracklites nitto neogen tires.
siebon cf duckbill
The car has stock motor with 150,000 miles
I did the whole power option conversion
car has 99si power mirrors, locks, and windows.
a rarity for civic hatches right?
has si door panels
umm i have steelwheels with aggresive winter tires could go along with sale.
I also have si brakes all four corners could be included. and a bunch of other si parts.
ok guys I know the body is all messed up reason why i wantto get rid off it.
So be nice please
Note** all pics were done before power conversion I dont have any recent ones.
and the damaged pics were taken in dec.
I can post more pics if wanted.

You can see the 4th and 5th pics the quarter doesnt line up right with the door. I think Im gonna go out there with some sand paper and primer and get all that surface rust off.

Fix everything you can on it. Most general buyers will go **** over every little thing. I had a guy that didn't by my Prelude because it needed an alignment. It was the cheapest Prelude within 300 miles of my searching by $1500, and he didn't get it because of a $40 alignment. I have sold around 6 cars, and one thing I have learned is fix, clean, clean, and clean. Even if you have to get it a quick paint job a MAACO to sell it, it might boost the price up and a quick sell.

even if it's a 96-98 with the power doors done the right way, the tracklites, and little things here and there don't let buyers low ball you. I'd say more like $2900 and let it go for $2600 final offer
The only bad is the engine, I'm assuming y7?
$2000 if it were factory stock

Re: How much could I get for my civic?
Umm about that.
I heard maaco doesnt do a bad paintjob if you prep and do your own bodywork
Power doors were done the right way, with the ex floor harness and si parts.
Yep y7 with my huge aem intake [;
just seeing what you guys think it wold be worth because if i could get something decent for it id try and sell it, but i wouldnt sell it for 2000 because it runs fine and as long as it runs fine im gonna keep it.
Lorain, like the worst place ever to own a honda
and yeah i agree a decent milage 96-00 hatch thats all stock with a decent body goes for around 3500
know anyone who does bodywork?

Re: How much could I get for my civic?
Thats what my plan was, I had a hatch before this and it got stolen, so we took money out of my dads stock to buy the car, so I have been trying to pay the car off, then as soon as i got it the place i was working at went out of bussiness so all the money i had for a swap went to paying my insurance and the car, then i found a job at GFS and we dont get many hours and all my money goes to my payment and insurance. a save up little by little but its all going to bodywork.

Re: How much could I get for my civic?
It's true that mods don't payoff. Notice I only had a $600 difference between mods and no mods in my opinion
plus with mods you probably wont sell it to a 53 year old lady
a person thats in to custom honda's will be more interested; therefore they'll understand the value of the mods with depreciation of course
I've sold a couple modded/ swapped civics and when people start asking why so much blah blah blah and they're looking for oem stock car. I'll tell them sorry this isn't the car for you.
Theres no use in trying to sell something they're not looking for/ nor understand/ and arent willing to pay for
