sure you can get a compressor and all the stuff under the engine cheap from people infact i have a gsr and civic compressor in the garage stilll i think.. but like osmeone said you need the stuff under the dash and also all the wiring that people sometime forget to take out when the take out the ac.. you can buy a whole ac kit from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com for under $1000 or just the parts under the dash most poeple dont take out..

Re: how much for AC into '94 CX w/o AC (95CivicEX)
I installed my A/C into my 94 DX without any problems. I bought it directly from the dealer for about 750(they were going to charge me another $600 for labor). I was able to install it with the step-by-step instructions that it came with it. Purely bolt on process. pay another 40-60 to get the system charged with the refrigerant, and you're good to go. I would never buy the A/C system used, because there is way to many bolts and parts.

I got mine from a '97 Integra, ('97 Integra A/C into '92 CX) pure bolt on as well with light modification(s) on the A/C lines near the front and the Evaporator Thermo-Switch aslo (Add 6Hrs personal labor + handy Helm's book wiring diagrams).
Total cost = $200.00 for "O-Rings"(from Acura dealer, Replaced/Installed all NEW by me), Purge/Evacuate + Refrigerant + A/C belt, Belt tensioned to correct specs (Done by local A/C shop 2Hrs worth labor on their behalf).

Re: how much for AC into '94 CX w/o AC (IM ALL SHO)
I need to 'rebuild' my SI hatch hybrid after an unfortunate encounter with an ******* in a Jeep grand cherokee. I will be getting a 93 CX this weekend and will be swapping the A/C system over allong with the other $12,000 worth of **** on the old car. I need to get this done withing the next few weeks in order to run at VIR in August.
I will let you know how it goes and will photographically document the entire process.
It ******* sucks having to do this work all over again but at least it will improve my already extensive technical knowledge.
