How much is this 95 DX worth? ------>
Sorry to post this here, but I need your feedback on this...
THINKING of letting go of my car and getting something a bit more "sophisticated". To be honest with you guys, Im not sure how much to ask for it so thats why Im posting. I need to know how much will you guys pay for this car. I may endup selling it localy (so-cal) but I hope I wont have to trade it in. So let me know what you guys think its worth.
Milano Red 1995 Civic DX:
95k miles on the chassis. Body is in good condition. Few small dings. Paint is average for a car almost 10 yrs old. Had a rear spoiler but took it off and covered up the holes with covers. Only noticable a few feet away. Clean title.
Drivetrain:
95 JDM B16 SiR2 w/ Stock Tranny 50-60k
Chipped P28 w/ Prospeed program (I tried a mugen chip and prospeed performed better)
Exedy clutch 20k miles
Skunk2 Cam Gears
Stock Valvetrain
Del Sol dual core radiator
B&M fuel pressure regulator and gauge
Exhaust:
Kamikaze 4-to-1 2 piece header
Carsound Highflow CAT 10k miles
Custom 2.25" exhaust piping
Apexi WS flat black muffler
*stock B16 exhaust manifold is also available w/ car
Wheels/Tires:
15" SSP Type C Gunmetal/Polished Lip *12lbs*
Falken Azenis 80-90% thread left
*stock 14" steelies w/ hub caps are also available w/ car
Suspension:
Skunk2 coilovers
KYB AGX adjustable shocks
Front strut bar
Rear strut bar
Upper rear strut bar
*stock springs & shocks are also available w/ car
Interior:
Pretty much all stock and in good condition with a few minor additions
Armrest with compartment
Optional center audio console
Apexi VTEC controller
Autometer Water Temp, A/F & Oil Press. Guagues
AIWA CD player
Upgraded front & rear speakers
Again, not really sure about if and when to sell it. Im still thinking about so but I need your comments to set a price. Let me know what you guys think
NOTE: I was at work and didnt have much time to write this up, so I used JV's post of his sale as a template.

Nice car. I think anyone would be happy to own something that so much time and effort went into.
However to be realistic our cars are generally worth more by selling off the performance parts and selling the car in its stock form...Guaranteed.
IMO buy something more "sophisticated" and keep the car around as a project.

you could probly get 5or6 for it,
you'd have to wait around awhile to find a buyer though.
well u might get lucky who knows, but there are more buyers out there looking for stock cars to mod themselves than already done deals.

Yes I have been giving this a lot of thought. I could always keep it and use it as a daily driver. But I could also use the money towards a newer car. I know I have spent a lot of time, effort, sweat and tears into this car, but maybe its time to move on....

keep it if you like it man,
but remember, chances are you'll get bored of whatever you buy,
so if you keep that in mind, you can realize that you might actually still like the car, yo've just been thinking about it too much.
or just keep buyin new cars..
but hey man, screw "something newer"
EG's are classics

i would say around $6500. if you did sell it you would be better off returning it back to stock and selling it.

I see. I thought it bolted together like how a 4-2-1 design does.

Nice car...It looks similar to mine almost!
ANYWAYS, I'd say if you sold the car "As-is," a good price to start at is about $5500. I would think it'd be easy for you to get maybe $6000~$6500 for it, but that's only if you sold it to someone who is familiar/an enthusiast in regards to Honda tuning and modifying...
Otherwise, most people who are looking for a "Normal" car (Ugh...!) would steer-clear of a modified vehicle. My co-workers like cars, but they don't want ANY headaches or side-thoughts in car repair/care...especially from a modified car such as your Civic.
Good luck, throw it into the Auto-Trader with something like $5500 OBO ("Or Best Offer") to get it sold...For sure, I'll be reading through it since I'm looking for a second car, BUT, as mentioned by other members, you could probably strip the car down to stock and sell those parts seperate and make a little more cash.
Good Luck!

I agree. The market is all over the place with hybrid cards. If it were me, I would clean it up and put it on ebay.
