your car is breaking the catalysts inside cause you are probably a OBD-2 equipped vehicle..the OBD-2 burns a lot hotter than an OBD1 setup so thats why....According to muffler shops in my area, they havent made an OBD-2 replacement yet. So when you hear that rattle from these cats, its the broken catalysts inside bouncing all over the place and also hindering performance.it wont be too long till it all just blows out of your muffler and you'll have a free testpipe.

I didn't have a car sound hi flow cat (I believe it was from random technologies) and the thing blew out in about 2 months. I couldn't warrantee it because the cat was originally made for an obd1 car.......just like Jeff said.....I got a free test pipe.

my car is a 96 HX. I called a honda dealership and found out that HX's have the catalytic converter at the the headers. This means that the shop that put the 'new' cat in had no idea of what it was doing.. Could the failure of the carsound cat be the existance of the original cat beign there also??

i have also heard of the carsounds only lasting about 2-4 months, heard of one lasting 6 months, always break up on OBD2 cars, still hear of them not doing right on OBD1 cars, personally, get a testpipe made and have the muffler shop spec the opening to fit your stock cat so you can bolt up the original at inspection time and then you can put the test pipe back on vice versa.
