My car is lowered about 2 1/4 inches....how many washers should i use in the rear?

depends on how thick the washers are, its a trail and error thing for the most part.

I used 3 washers to shim mine. I am not sure what the actuall thickness was, but prolly somewhere around 1/16" ea. Basically, I shimmed them until I had the tire sidewall almost up the the rubber seal lining the rear fender. I also replaced the bolts holding the tiebar to the car. I used longer and harder ones to replace them. If you decide to do the same, visit NAPA or a specialized fastner shop and buy Grade 8 or better. Good luck.
