First what turbo? i wouldnt go anymore than 8psi with a t3/t4, the stock fpr will be more than good enough for this. if anything get a tune with it. I dont think d15 bottom ends are too strong either, but not sure.

Turn off caps lock, learn to abbreviate "SOHC" not "SOCH". Turbo your car then take it to a tuner he will know exactly what to do with it.

d series motors tend to poop out after around 190whp, anything over 190whp wont last very long unless you have an amazing tune. Its all in the tune.
also dont buy cheap ebay turbo ****.

Hey you need more info bro. Turbo your going to run, pistons, rods. Cam or stock. Goals. Need more info.
My sohc z6 motor, ported and polished head, vitra pistons, scat rods, king bearings, stock sleeves, t3/t4 turbonetics turbo, apexi fmic, 38mm wg put down 283 to the wheels. Your main thing is tuning man. Thats the key, and reliable parts.

Get forged internals, at least pistons or ur motor wont last long with 8 lbs of boost. U can also get a special coating put on ur pistons, not sure wat its called, but it will be almost as good as forged. Each engine is different, the only way to see wat ur motor likes is time on a dyno, and change the fuel trim. The better the quality of the parts, the more boost u can run.

Re: HOW MANY POUNDS OF BOOST A 1.6 SOCH (1.5boosted)
on a t3 turbo: 10-12psi
on a t3/t4 turbo: 9psi
on a t4 turbo: have fun getting boost at 6.5K and breaking your car
These recommendations stem from the understanding that you'll have a totally stock motor. Plus, as a general thing to go by: 220WHP is pretty much what the motor can handle with a great tune/parts. I'd shoot for ~200WHP if I were you; a compression and leak down test would be a good thing to do before turboing your car.

Try 190/200 if you want the block to be stable.
Yes you can push it to 220, but the engine has to be in great cond. with an awesome tune for that - and even then you need to be careful with the redline.
If you do 190/200 - with the right tune you can keep it pinned all day long.
The extra 20hp isn't worth the block's integrity if you decide to redline it a few times, IMO.

MiniMe swaps Bump your compression Heavily making it dangerous to run turbo
My Y8 MiniMe swap with a lightly milled head bumped my CR to 11.6:1, which is EXTREMELY dangerous to run any kind of boost under without extensive tuning, and since you have trouble with your capslock key, I'd strongly recommend NOT boosting that setup.

pffft,
<--- 18psi on a bone stock d15b vtec w a t3/t4 h-trim. under 300hp you're fine as long as you have a good tuner.
ultimately it depends 100% of your set-up and not just the engines contribution.

the tuning question is a good one. some people still think an FMU is acceptable....
notice the guy asked how many psi of fuel per lb of boost
listen, OP...
don't boost the 1.5 unless you upgrade the rods and pistons. those 1.5 rods, unless it's a VX, are total toothpicks and will compromise themselves instantly under even moderate pressure.

Wow.
Ok, well if reliability isn't an issue, you may as well boost the thing with a t4 to 32 psi. Don't worry about tuning it...and when the pistons blow through your hood, simply replace the engine, replace the hood, and repeat.

Oh? I thought the questions were fine. Remember, there was a time when you didn't know anything about cars either.
He was obviously just shooting out questions, which the OP may or may not have the answers to, so where's the problem? It's apparent they're both new at this.
