man dont listen to all these people about not doing a SOHC if thats what you want to do then do it. it all depends on how fast you want to go. if you want to run 14's its not hard or exspensive on a SOHC VTEC (in a HB anyway). Like MISTA BONES said use a Nitrous kit and you will run 14's just on Nitrous. If you dont want to use a fored induction motor, then i would say go with the basic first I/H/E then do a CAM (bulfrog has a good head packacage). Im just saying ts not hard or exspensive to run 14's but the lower you go the more it is. 13's arent really exspensive.

i was thinking that his civic is complety stock and its probably a coupe. it would be hard to get it in the 13's with just NOS. and he probably only wants to run a 60 shot or less, i wouldnt recomend anythign bigger then that on a stock fuel pump, (just better to be safe)

driving a 95 240SX SE now, hoping for SR20DET soon, after suspension and brakes upgrade

back on topic, sohc vtec motor in a CRX or VX/CX hatch will make good times stock, but with boltons, maybe a zex cam and some nitrous you should be hitting 13s easily
