depends on if you want to rub or not...... if you have larger wheels such as 17's you might have to roll the fenders ( body shop can fold the outer-area of the fender for you)
also, go to low and your ride quality is gonna suck
I wouldn't go lower than 2 inches,
also, get a camber kit if you go lower than 1 inch or your tires will wear faster

just wondering, but have you tried a search? I'm sure there's a crapload of stuff under that topic...but basically, its purely up to you...i have like,1.4 on my 92 VX...its almost perfect..not too low, not too high...but sometimes i wish it was lower...anything under 1.5 is good for daily driven...even though you still have to watch out for speed bumps and stuff..i still scrape...plus, i don't think its necessary to have a camber kit on the car...peace.
