How low can u go on stock struts? kinda ricey question.
yyyyea, soooo...as the post states, i got some Skunk2 coil overs, and i was wondering how low i can go, with out ******* up my struts tooooo fast...
i am eventually gonna get some decent shocks, but for now, money is an issue.

buy some ground control modded top hats for $75 a pair and your stock struts should last a while with a 2" drop.

Also, it depends on how many miles they already have one them. If there are relativly new, then they should last a while, but if they already have 150k on them, maybe a week and they are done.

i think.............. hydraulic fluid may end up gushing out all over your brakes and tires indicating..... you guessed it....blown shocks/struts............... this is just something i'm trying to remember from a previous thread

He isnt being a smartass. On a friends 300ZX, he blew his left rear and there was fluid everywhere. You will know when they are blown when they start squeaking on the slightest bumps and they get increasingly bouncy.

ive been lowered for about 2 years on stock shocks. one year of it on coilovers about 2" drop. and one year on neuspeed sports. it still rides like it did when i first lowered it. so i guess they havent blown out. I always heard they would blow within a few months, but not for me.

car had 109,000 when i bought it. did old skool weapon r coil overs. this was 4 years ago. lasted till 155,000 on it before they lost the oil seal.

on my friend's 98 integra with 90k miles and dropped almost to the bottom it took about 1,500 miles for the shocks to go out. now it bounces like it has hydralics

i must have some dura-shocks or something. i bought my del sol 3 months ago. the car had 182K miles on them. lowered my sol with eibach prokit right away and kept the stock shocks on them. stock shocks are still good with 182K miles and being driven around lowered for 3months (with my daily commute, i added another 10K miles). but my tokico shocks are coming in this weekend, yay!

I agree, I guess I've been over a year on 400/500lb Ground Control's and stock shocks with around a 2" or so and still fine And the shocks have over 150k on them.

youll know when theyre blown. youll feel every dip/bump that you never felt before on streets you normally drive through. Your ride will just feel a lot more "bouncier."

if you have a cd player, expect it to skip like a **** until you get new struts. my suspension sucks for now because of it
