How long's a 99 SI clutch suppose to last?
I got 75K on mine and I learned to drive stick on it 4 years ago as well but it still grabs good. What's the normal life on a stock 99-00 SI clutch?

it all depends on the driver, on how they drive like do you beat on it or just drive it around normally (up to maybe 150 or more miles) . A few years ago i use a OEM clutch on my MR2 and it only lasted me for about 5 months because all beating i was doing on the car. so it's all on how you drive it

Not sure if there's such classification as "normal life expectancy" all depending on how you drive your car... I've seen them go out in a couple months and i've seen my cousins 00 SI still ride on stock everything almost... Only put about 12K miles on it in 8 years... But as for main question though, i'd say on a car thats not beatin on whatsoever, about 5-6 years give or take...

Clutch life is pretty dependant on how bad you abuse the clutch. That and the type of driving you do, if your in bumper to bumper traffic it might wear a little quicker. I have a neighbor that has 502,000kms on the original clutch in his '96 EK sedan, and that car has hauled a trailer before too, not on a regular basis, but it has hauled one before. I put 335,000kms on my last clutch before i hauled it out, it wasn't slipping or anything, i just did an engine swap and the clutch i got with the engine was only supposed to have 80,000kms on it and it looked marginally better. i've also seen people destroy clutches in no time trying to learn to drive stick though, so basically there is no set time/mileage.

i've seen hatchbacks that have had over a 100K on them.. but i'm not sure is SI's have sportier clutch's that are suppose to wear out sooner?
I'm actually surprised that mines lasted as long as it has with all those 5500-6K launches i've done.

Clutches are light brake bads, if you abuse them, expect to replace them much sooner. Ideal is about 90,000 miles before strange things start happening.
Dumping the clutch hurts the driveline, slipping hurts a clutch, just like riding the brakes.
