20 minutes if you know what you are doing.

Plan for a couple hours at least.

Do all the plugs first, then undo all the hoses. Pull the axels, and exhaust manifold, unbolt the mounts and pull it out. Not to start an sh*tstorm, but it shouldn't take you a couple of hours. Not even on your first time. Just make sure that you make a good mental note of where everything went. Or just label it. Then it may take you a couple of hours. GL

If you're pulling the engine out, and aren't swapping, there's not much to mix up. I labeled EVERYTHING when I pulled my engine out of my 4 door.

When you remove your mounts, undo the rear mount first, then the front torque mounts, and after hooking up the hoist, then remove the two upper mounts. It WILL hold the engine just fine.

hey thanks guys i really want to paint my engine bay but do a decent job and the engines gotta come out and i'm considering a swap around spring or summer next year so it's be a good learning experience. and i think i'll do a wire tuck while i'm at it. should be lots of fun. i think i'll make a little blog not a build thread. it'll be just a page about me trying to make this car look good.

considering a b16a obd1 maybe 2
or a h22a obd2 swap

thanks for the help do you guys know of any place that would rent me a engine lift?
