How long can you leave an alarm on?
I am going away for a bit, leaving my car at the airport (no more details so it doesn't get stolen, lol). But how long can I leave the alarm armed without it killing the battery? 10 days is OK?
Thanks.
Thanks.

i would leave the car at home, and take a airport bus or taxi... or have a friend drive you there.

x2!
Nothing better and safer then NEVER having a chance of it getting stolen in the first place.

If you park it in a locked/paid parking garage and take shuttle from there It should be fine. What are the chances of someone jumping the barbwire fence for a civic and busting out of the security gates and not getting caught?

If you have a good battery, you'll be o.k. I had my alarm armed for two weeks when I went on vacation, came back and I was kinda surprised. If you park at the airport, make sure you have the ticket stub. So if they get a hold of your car, they can't leave the lot without the stub. Pull some fuses out(ecu, starter, ign.), just to be on the safe side. If they break in, there's no way their driving your car away.

OK thanks for all the info. everyone.
I would worry about my car being stolen from the airport (even though like ekforeverguy and Smoguy said, chances are it would be fine), even still I am thinking getting a cab/ride there would be the best bet. Paying for a cab there and back won't break the bank, and probaly would be the same if not less than parking there so I'm going to leave it safe at home. Thanks for the input.
Anyways, still not 100% sure about leaving the alarm on, not sure how good my battery is or how long you can leave it armed for. Maybe it would be perfectly fine or maybe not, I have no idea about that kind of thing.

arm it at your house while you are gone and see if it works. if it's dead ask a neighbor to jump you and if it survives you'll know how long it lasts.

Well I'am a alarm installer, so this is a good question?
just about any auto alarm installed the correct way. wouldn't drain battery. cause a alarm uses 1.7 mil-amp of power. now it all depends on how your alarm is set. as far a sensor's that a turn up to the max. well your alarm will go off for everything now that would drain your batt. fast due to lights flashing (park/head). but over all you good .

get fuel cutoff switch
they can start the car, thinking they've got it
it runs for about 10 seconds
and then it shuts off due to no gas.
but no on a serious note, I agree with he who said "have your friend take you there, leave the car at home"
safest, best bet.
