Default how to install brake lines ----

Does anybody know how to replace the stock brake lines with upgraded steel ones? how hard is it, and what do you need to do?

very easy to do, make sure u get flare nut wrenches. Take out all the brake fluid to make things easier then unbolt the line to the caliper and then the other side to the hard lines.

Are you kidding??
Undo the old...put the new ones on...flush your brake fluid and bleed your brakes.
Use your head, you can do this without a how to...

Easy to do, just a simple take off and replace. Hardest part is probably bleeding the brakes correctly.

Under the rules: if you say search, you're supposed to give a link or don't say search at all.

The rules also apply to you. He may be breaking the rules by saying "search, n00blet," but you are also breaking the rules by not searching in the first place.

Or you could use a speed bleeder, if you have no friends.

Actually I wasn't breaking the rules.. That question wasn't my first post, it was "how to install brake lines". There wasn't anything when i searched... I thought then asking people now in the posting would produce faster and better results than searching again.

Thanks.

you dont have to bleed if you change pads (if youre opening the bleeder to do this, youre taking about 3x as long as you should to do a brake job)

I dont like speed bleeders though - I use a vacuum pump

to "eric cartman" I do own a full set of craftsmen tools and do all my mods myself, just not this one. Just ordered a helms manual which should really help.

Check this out:

I just did this job last week, make sure you spray the brake line fittings with WD40 or something and let them sit for a minute, you can use a 10mm wrench, but flare wrenches are better for this no question. It is basically as easy as remove old line, attach new line (you may need pliers to get the line retention clips off), bleed brakes.
