The stock clutch gives too much. An aftermarket clutch will grab much stronger, and will be far less likely to slip. This just makes sure that you get the most power to the ground as possible.
Let me put it to you like this.
It took at least 2/10ths off my 1/8th mile. Probably would have got my quarter times into mid 15's. Stock motor with gude head., 94 ex.

A clutchmaster's stage one should be fine unless you're boosting 2 bar or launching off a 100 shot of nitrous. if you really want to get crazy, get a stage four. I hear they're almost un-streetable because they grip so hard.

I have a kevlar disk with an oem pressure plate and I like it alot. It grabs hard and still has a smooth pedal feel.
