How to identify AEM FPRs
How can you tell the different AEM Fuel Pressure Regulators from each other?
I know there is a difference betwwen the 1996-00 EX and the 1996-00 DX/CX/LX/HX, but how can you tell by looking at them? (There's also 5 other different kinds of Civic FPRs)
And my 2nd question, can the FPR be put on a stock fuel rail or is an aftermarket one required? I'm just confirming what I think is true...
This is going on a d16y5, HX engine.

Re: How to identify AEM FPRs (MrIllegalX)
you can tell by gauging where you mount the fpr and where the opening is for the fuel.for example,i had a 96 dx hatch [rip] and now i have a 95 dx coupe when i put the fpr on the 95 it bolted up but when i turned the car to on the fuel shot out. the hole for the fpr and fuel rail did'nt match.and you can use your stock fuel rail.peace

The seller thinks the FPR (that I actually just bought) is for a 1996-00 DX/CX/LX/HX because 1) the car it came off was a DX and 2) the mounting holes have an offset, which means its for a D series, because the B series FPR mounting holes are in a straight line.
I guess I'll just install it and find out, which brings me to my next question.
How do you install this thing? Any info. about them would be appreciated, I'm about to go on a search.
