how to identify a 99si proportioning valve, is it really the same as a 96 dx lx?

Default how to identify a 99si proportioning valve, is it really the same as a 96 dx lx?

i did a rear disc conversion on my 96 civic cx, i hear people saying the cx valve is same as 99si, how can this be true? yes they look the same but that dosent mean internally they are the same, can anybody clarify? also how do i identify what prop valve i just bought.. junk yard claims its off a 99si. THANKS.

they are not internally the same but yes they do look the same

yes they are the same.

96 CX Prop - 46210-S04-902
99 SI prop - 46210-S04-902

it also came on the 96-00 HX/DX/CX

just got off the phone with honda, you are correct sir

so now the question is, do i need to change my prop valve? i got a 96cx with the stock valve and teg brakes all around.

you should be fine with the stock PV.

Correct, I did the same swap on my hatch and it works perfect!
