The LSi is equivalent to our CX I believe, so the engine would be stamped with D15B8 near the transmission. However, since it is from a different market, the last number might be different.

look at the valves. If you can pull the valve cover off and you only see 8. thats it right there. Unless its the carb model than thats the one for the CRX. but then again CRX did come with FI 8valve D-series from 90-91. Horrible tho. Absolutely horrible in terms of performance!

But it's rated at 89 BHP according to the brochure which is less than a B7. Must be detuned or something.

Where are you seeing an engine code on there?

Turns out that it's a D15B2. I originally thought it was that, but I kept getting a ton of conflicting information. Like, people asking about their 1.5 LSi cars with VTEC-E, and saying their engine was a D15Z1 ....

But I'm pretty positive it's a D15B2 now, after seeing a couple decent posts on some european sites and a couple videos on youtube.

Doesn't say, but I assume a 1.5L with VTEC-E is the D15Z1, which is the VEi trim.
