i have a 94 sol and i bought it with this huge *** terminator style monstousity on it.
it is held on with some bolts and i can get those off easy but
the damn thing is pretty much glued on there with double stick body tape!!!!
i can't get the thing off and dont want to break it or mess up my paint.
anyone ever do this before??
any help would be greatly appreciated

there should be screws that screw into the trunk. your gonna need to fill and paint over them too

Try a Plasma Torch, it always gets the job done.

the tool you r lookign for is called a MAtchmakafire.
you can find them at any hardware store or grocery store.
all you gotta do it pull on of these tools outta its lightweight box case, and if u strike hard enough and hold it up to the wing it shoudl burn the excess rice off any car within an hour or so. Some fine restaurants carry these too.

try to soften the double sided tape with zippo lighter fluid (serious). Once it softens up, pull the mount so that one end comes up, then put some more lighter fluid on it. You can also try twisting the mount after the tape gets soft. You take any kind of tool to it, I guarantee you will scratch your paint.

Then go find some electical tape that matches your car (red white or black cars are easy), cut circles and cover the holes.

Heat up the tape with a heat gun.

You can use a hair dryer set on high for like 5 minutes to soften up the tape. Then, take some fishing wire and slide under the mounts. That should cut the tape.

Dental Floss also works, just heat it up a little first.
