Default How the hell do I get the emergency flasher button out? (95 civic)

What the hell? Is there a way to do this without completely scratching up the whole dash? I've already put a bunch of little scratches in my vent/gauge cover thing trying to pop the button out and get at the other screw. Is there some special way to do this, or do I just have to f-up the plastic on my dash just to get at the gauges?

You pop out the hazard light surround, not the button first, then the button just pulls out so you can unplug it.

Use a flathead screwdriver(with a thin wide head) and a piece of cloth so you don't scratch it.
