I just want to take them apart and put them right back together, no replacing of the parts unless I need to replace seals and stuff of course by dismantling them.
It would basically be for powdercoating purposes. I wouldn't pay someone else to do work like this to my car unless it needed like industrial presses and **** to get them all back together for the shells to be recoated.

12 mm bolt on the front side of caliper, remove and swing up. Remove pads. slide caliper until it comes off the other bolt. disconnect brake hose if needed. 2 17 mm bolts hold the caliper bracket to the spindle. Impact it off. Do whatever u needed, then reinstall in reverse.

HAHA I guess maybe my title wasnt that clear but thanks for the help. I have done all the work to my car I have a 5 lug suspension and I want to have my calipers all around professionally powdercoated.
That means I would need to remove the pistons, springs, and whatever else is inside of the caliper just to ship off my housings.
I guess ill have to get some pictures woot.

When it stops pouring I'll go get the helms out of the car and see what it says.

Wayne.....try the cheap ol' Haynes manual. I seem to remember a how-to in the one I had for my old CRX

Its actually quite easy to remove the piston outta the caliper but I believe you will need to buy a rebuild kit for the calipers cause i'm not sure you will be able to reuse the rubber boot . Hope that made some type of sense.
