How to get a ZC DOHC tranny to work with single cam axles?
I have a single cam motor bolted up to a ZC tranny. I used a B series axle for the
passenger side. For the drivers side I used a single cam axle (with a B series tranny spindle.) Every thing fit, I just wanted to know has anyone tried this and does it hold oil and will it pop out while I drive.I do not mess with this single cam stuff. I deal with fully built B and H series 350 to 600 whp cars. I did the swap for my cousin who is 17 yrs. old and on a tight budget. REALLY TIGHT! I know the ZC trannys use intermediate shafts (half shafts) and it seems the axle pulls out pretty easily. I was thinking to bend the locking pin for the axle so it is not so easy to pull out. Also I did not fill tranny with oil yet but I did start the car and ran it (while it was on jack stands and it seems to run fine!) Please reply if you you tried and truly know for a proven fact this works. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif |
