That friggin' nut sucks... I still don't think that mine is tightened down enough and I'm convinced I have a vacuum leak from there.

Get under the car with a wrench, or short socket.

Been there and done that. I can get sockets onto it but they never seem to seat well enough on the nut to really get it good and tight.

Different techniques for different intake manifolds. But majority of the time a swivel socket can get that out, or an universal joint with a shallow socket can do it too.

Hey Luserkid, haven't seen you around in a while.

But to the posting... I found it hard to take that thing off too... I think the easiest is to go under the car and get a swivel-socket in there.
