DEPENDING ON HOWW BAD THE CRACK IS. i JUST RE CLEARED MY HOOD BECAUSE IT FADED AND IT HAD A CRACKED SPOT. iT LOOKS OKAY WITH JUST THREE COATS OF CLEAR ON IT. BUT IT NEEDS AT LEAST THREE MORE AND SOME BUFFING TO COVER IT UP. WAXING IT WON'T HELP I TRIED THAT IT JUST ENDS UP MAKING IT LOOK WORSE. CLEARING IT WILL HELP THE MOST.

well it really depends on how bad and deep the crack is? If it's pretty bad to where you would have to fill it then you can fix it but it won't look the same anymore. But if it's just like a hairline crack and not too bad then you might be able to clear it over... Not to sure though... It's a lot more differant then fiberglass.... good luck though

If it's not that bad, like just a deep scratch, you can put a few layers of clear coat onto the CF and then color-sand and buff it. If it's broken and and needs to be "pasted" back together, you need to use fiberglass resin to hold it in place, then do the above suggestion (clear, sand, buff). The weave won't look perfect but the hood/lip/wing/whatever will be straight & smooth again.

they sell carbon fiber sheets and resin blah blah (similar to fiberglass) so you can DIY CF, if you have to fill in a deep problem with bondo - so you can top it off with CF and then clear coat.

yeah but if you do that the weave wont match up, youll just have this random patch of cf in the middle fo the huge sheet
