a 16.7 like the rest of the N/a D-series.

In all seriousness, it's hard to tell man, it's going to depend on driver skill, build, tune, etc etc.

The N/A d-series is a long hard road to get anywhere.

Friends hatch ran 15.8, nonvtec 1.6liter, stock internals, just a Z6 trans and Exedy clutch, and basic bolt-ons. NON vtec....
I gotta ask for the video from him.

Crower or Skunk2, depends on your preference. Crower makes an insane Stage2 Cam. Ive heard it in a singlecam before, rips VTEC louder than most B series (stock)

do you think the crower stage 3 would be to much lift and only use for track?

Yea, probably. They even recomend upgrading some head componenets for stage2 cams, although it runs fine without doing that. Stage 3 is just overkill for street use.

why would you sleeve a d16 and go with stock compression and stock bore? Lower the compression and boost the **** out of it. Thats the only way your going to make power.

i not gonna run stock compression d16a1 pistons are .75 over or somethin like that and they give you 12.6:1 compression and by milling the head down it brings it to 13.0:1 I dont really know how these figures work but ive been readin up on this for like the past 8 months

So do a search for "d16 build"

Presto.

You can go n/a on a d-series but you're going to spend 4x what you could on a turbo and get half the whp.

There's a reason 1/100 people actually pursue serious goals n/a d-series.

Edit, 1/10,000 and actually get somewhere.

I love the generalized Idea "turbo's are going to cost me 4 grand!!"

Then they go out and spend $3000 on building/tuning an N/a D-series.

Cracks me up everytime..

Depending on where you surce your parts, you could put down 200whp for anywhere between $500 and $1500

its sounds like you need to do more reading before diving into any of this. I know you want to go fast but with a motor like the y8 you can blow it up really quick. The y8 motor is different from alot of honda motors, research about the rods, timing, base timing, headgasket problems, etc. All these need to be researched before slapping a turbo on or building a NA motor (which i would not do, for the reasons the guy above me posted).

I could tell you a **** load about the d series but you need to do some research for yourself, you will learn more that way

Turbod16.com has alot of good turbo D series information.

^^ Turbo d16 website is a good one.

i've spent some time on d-series.org too. Both good places to hang.

But I prefer to rack up post counts here
