Re: how easy is it to swap motor in hatch (dsmIA)
Any obd1 gs-r, ls, or jdm b16 swap should bolt right in the 92-95 hatch body. It pretty much plug and plug with the exception of adding the extra wires for the vtec, vtec oil pressure switch and knock sensor if you going with the b16 and an extra wire for the iab with the gs-r. With a budget of $2000 you can probably get an ls or if you're lucky a b16 swap.

i did my first swap two weeks ago
it wasnt that hard just takes time
took me 4days (12hrs each day) . i did like 98% of the swap myself. took my time and read the c-speed racing diy swap

1st gen b16 have cable tranny so you will need to get hasport cable conversion or fab up your own. the best way to go for a b16 is to get a obd1 b16 with hydro tranny. those will bolt in with a combo of integra and civic mounts. also depending on which model hatch you get you may have to run wires for vtec and all.

Re: how easy is it to swap motor in hatch
not HARD TO SWAP IN a motor, make sure you have air compressor, impact guns, 14mm 10mm 12mm 17mm 19mm and extensions and your good to go, plus you have to plan first and make sure wires are all good and set. took 3 1/2 hours for me to pull and put my b16a motor in, to make it easy, you should just buy my 94 vx with b16 motor s1 tranny with same gearing as the type r, chipped skunk2 program ecu to run it. plus type r intake cam.
