Re: How do you put AC in a EK that has no AC? (1.8)
You need to change out your stock ducting behind the glove compartment and get the evaporator and its casing. I helped take my friends A/C out of his car 2 weeks ago and it wasn't too hard. He didn't pull out the evaporator yet because he was supposed to sell it to someone else and they were going to trade those parts under the dash.
If you are interested in purchasing all the components let me know.

I'm just piecing this together myself, you need the evaporator unit to go under the dash, the condenser for next to the rad, the receiver/dryer, the center console button, and all the aluminum lines to tie it together. An AC compressor would help too, that is driven by the crank pulley. I think that's most of it.

the evaporator is about 8" square, plastic shroud, with a condenser in the middle, the receiver dryer is about the size of a pop can, aluminum in colour, I will try and get some pics when I'm back at my shop.
