How do you identify if a mini swap is already done?

How do you identify if a mini swap is already done?
i have a 97 dx but the motor has been replaced with a d16y7 but how do i tell if the guy i bought it from did a mini swap cause i dont wanna waste my money on buy **** that is already done lol, so if you guys could tell me how i tell if i have the y8 head and tranny and manny that would be great

on a minime, the head will have a vtec solenoid next to the distributor, and the throttle body will come out of the intake manifold towards the passenger side, with the intake arm ending up behind the passenger headlight.
A y7 won't have a vtec solenoid and the throttle body exits straight up, I believe.

A 97dx comes with a d16y7 fyi. If u have a vtec solenoid like vindicator said then it's a vtec head
