How do you hook up GSR IM Butterflies?
I have a 98 Civic Ex and a buddy of mine swapped in a GSR for me. He used the Ex harness and said he could not hook up the butterflies.
What has to be done in order to make this happen?
Thanks in advance!

So I'm just hooking up something from the purge solenoid valve to the IAB solenoid plug? Seems pretty simple but how do I plug that in if its inside the manifold? Maybe the plugs are outside of the manifold???

Re: (DOHC Kid)
youre not hooking anything up inside the manifold itself. youre running a connector with two wires from the IAB solenoid to the ecu. well one goes to the ecu the other is ground.

well if u look at the IAB solenoid(black box) and follow the pointy fingers it says IAB UNIT LIVES IN THERE, it is actually pointing to UNDER the intake manifold NOT INSIDE the manifold...find urself a 2 wire plug that fits the IAB SOLENOID PLUG and run 1 wire to the IAB at the ecu and 1 wire to ground..make sure the vacuum hose from the PURE SOLENOID VALVE is going to the correct place on the BLACK BOX...a way to check to see if ur IAB is working is to just rev the car in neutral up to 6k rpm and watch to the purge solenoid valve to see if it moves up and down like a plunger

So what I have to do is run 2 wires from the IAB plug slot, (1 wire to ground, 1 wire to ECU) and then make sure the hoses are hooked up from the Purge Valve.
It looks like one hose is coming from the top and there are two connected to the IAB. So I'm assuming the other one is under the Purge solenoid valve? Also what do I hook it up to in the ECU? It's a p28.
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP SO FAR GUYS!

Re: (ekb16)
a chipped p28 with a p72 basemap has nothing to do with the butterflies.. unless theres a mod in there to change like the A/C control to IAB control.. something like that.. i dunno if its even possible.. but youre probably better off using a p72 or a aftermarket gsr intake manifold with the p28
