I just picked up a carpet for 99 civic from a salvage yard.
The carpet has couple of rust stains, and dirt and dust.

Someone said to put it in the washer and wash it, than hang it.
than i heard that don't put it in the waher becuase it'll be out of shape, and loose, its pading.


How should i clean this???

i use some carpet cleaner...usually resolve and scrub it myself its cheap and it comes out pretty nice

Its my daily driver, i don't wanna stirp it.

Go to Home Depot in flooring department, go where all the cleaners are, or ask a sales associate for *Folex. Best carpet cleaning solution you can buy, plus its very inexpensive and works excellent. I use to work at Home Depot, so I know that **** works good, I've seen it in action. Go check it out...

good man...i work at home depot part time as a tool tech in the tool rental department...the carpet cleaners work great also...you could rent the 2.5 gallon cleaner for $14 for 4 hours or 20 dollars for the whole day and do your bedroom too...

i was a trained carpet cleaning tech and rust IS the hardest stain to get out, good luck. if u lived in mia i would try to get it clean for u but u don't so the only thing i would suggest is look for a carpet cleaner who specializes in spots or maybe a local carpet cleaning supply house, for rust remover. But try steam cleaning it, that should get every thing else out
