Default How do you get water out of the engine cylinders?

I was car washing my engine (dum,, dum) and notice I had gotten water in the engine cylinder via spark plugs. How do I get the water out without using fancy suction devises?? mcv57@comcast.net

Removes all the plugs and crank the motor. Then just let it dry.

let me verify how dumb you are, so you were spraying water on your engine with the spark plugs and wires out of the engine

real smart

spray WD40 down the cylinders

WD40 won't do squat if the cylinders have more than a thin film of water.

If the plugs were still in the head, use some compressed air to blow the water out, or just let it sit and it'll be fine.

ya, the easiest way is to take the plugs out and crank the motor over a few times to shoot the water out. Then let it sit over night with the plugs still out, and then try to start it again in the morning, or later in the day, and that should work. same thing happened to me when I had my cold water intake.

Good point, if the plugs are still in, then do that.

If that's true, then once you soak up what's collected at the plugs. Anything beyond that will just be minute amounts of water.
